Jenny asks…
Is it safe to hang a 50 inch plasma tv on the wall?
Im thinking of hanging my 50 inch plasma on the wall using a wall mount. Just wondering if anyone has done it before?
Kenneth answers:
If you screw the mount into a stud. If not, then it will come crashing to the floor.

Sandy asks…
Are there any pictures of wall mounted 50 inches plasma tv online?
Kenneth answers:

Lisa asks…
I have an interesting problem. I have a 50 inch plasma tv. I need to mount this tv but I have an old house.?
because I have an old house I have exposed wiring. I have a copper pole that runs down the middle of my wall completely visible. Many old houses have this exposed wiring. Now, the problem isn’t that Im scared of the wiring, the problem is that every mount runs horizontal and doesn’t allow me to mount my tv because the mount has to be flesh against the wall. The wiring is basically in an iron pole that runs down the middle of the wall. Do you guys have any ideas what I can do. By the way I DO NOT want to do a ceiling mount.
Kenneth answers:
You could build out the wall in the small section that the tv mount will go on. That way you avoid the pipe and you wont see the build out because the tv will hide it. Try to connect it to 2 wall studs due to the weight of the tv.

Hanging a plasma tv what size anchor bolts required as i have screwed on to a concrete wall a frame made of 40mm thick timber to which i will bolt on the plasma mount.
so i take it the sleeve will be flush to the concrete wall and the bolt will have to first screw thorough the plasma mount then the timber (40mm) then into the sleeve.
so what size anchor bolt do i need i know the mount recommends m8 type bolt but which size do i need for the job

I have a 42" Zenith plasma tv. I dont have the model number as it’s on the back of the tv (which is haning on a wall).
When the screen is black, I can see what is best described as horizontal ghost lines running the length of the tv. There is probably 5-10 of them. It is mostly visable when the screen is black (or dark). When the TV is on a different input with no signal, there are no black line. Any ideas?

I want to mount a 52" lcd or plasma in front of my hideous tv niche. The arm has to extend at minimum 26" from the rear wall. I have found dual arm mounts online that extend 27 and 28" but I was wondering how safe these are at full extension? I assume there will be a little sag but has anyone done this? I have thought about attaching the mount the the side wall of the niche but unsure about it. Any thoughts? I can’t frame in the niche since this is a rental unit.

I have a 42 inch plasma I want to mount to an upstairs wall in my house. The wall is about 50 inches across between 2 doors. There is only 1 stud in this entire space, which is off center, and it is metal anyway. Here is my thought: behind the wall is closet space. What if I place a thick sheet of plywood against the inside of the closet wall, then attach the tv mount through both layers of dry wall and into the plywood?

Features in the T.V. and what some facts of what i do with it:
- Average time of T.V. on a day is 6 hours
- Needs to big and huge, those kind of big and flat screen
- Good for Wall-Mounted TV
- Play Video Games on
- Good for playing home theater (gonna be watching films the hole day)
- Must have some high specifications (contrast ratio, HD, Pixel Resolution,Brightness and that kind of stuff)
- Great colour display and will not be difficult to see when the sun is shining on the screen.
- It needs to be "Cinematic" and good use for home cinema speakers those ones that has like a surrounding system around the room so it seem like you are in a proper cinema.
If you don’t know the name of the make then please just answer if i need a LCD or Plasma
Thank You
I appreciate
What is the diffrence bettween LCD and Plasma. What dose one have that the other dosen’t.

It has been years since I had to buy a TV…it was simple when you only had to choose a brand and they all had CRT’s. What is the difference between LED, LCD, PLASMA, 3d….which is the best…I just wanta watch some movies and sports….no XBOXs or Wiis….

The wall is drywall. I have the mount, and the mount came with tools, used the stud finder and everything was going well until we drilled and discovered it was a metal stud. I’ll have to make adjustments: 1) Should the metal be drilled through? 2) What parts do I need? and 3) Should I ever need to remove the TV and the mount, is it relatively straightforward to "repair" the wall (I know there’ll be a little damage). I’d like to put up the TV though. Cheers,

Doesn’t matter if your watching TV or playing a game the picture is very blurry. We have tried adjusting the sharpness setting with no effect. Cable is hooked up straight from wall to TV and the video game system is PS3. TV is brand new out of the box a couple hours. Is there a setting combination that may help or anything else we can try?

My living room has a space that was built in above the fireplace that was perfect for holding our old 34" tv. We’ve recently got a 50" plasma and I want to mount it on the wall in the same spot. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to fill this spot? Studs? Plaster? I need to make it sturdy enough to hold the mounting bracket and TV.

So i bought a Panasonic 103" Plasma HDTV and 8 Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV’s to mount on my home office wall. I put the small tvs on the sides and a row on the bottom for multiscreening purposes.I am wondering if there is any HDMI junction box type of thing that allows me to plug it an HDMI cable from my computer and then have all 9 hooked up to the box so it displays the same thing on all the screens. I know i could have multiple boxes of the boxes but i would like just one box….

I was watching tv, and i heard a really loud popping sound from the outlet by the tv, then the tv turned off. So I shut the tv off, then I switched the cord to a different outlet beside it, and it doesn’t work. The power light for the tv will blink green then go back to red, meaning off, but thats it, it won’t turn on just blink. I just bought a 50" LG plasma tv a few weeks ago if that could be any help.

I just upgraded from a 42" plasma to a 55" LCD and the wall mount I am currently using is for up to a 50" TV but is has a weight capacity of 150 lbs. My new 55" TV only weighs 73 lbs so is it alright to use the same bracket or is there a reason that this bracket only holds up to a 50" TV?
